Meet The Host
Laura Carfang is the founder and executive director of SurvivingBreastCancer.org and the passionate voice behind Breast Cancer Conversations. A breast cancer survivor herself, Laura launched the podcast to amplify the voices of those navigating life with and beyond cancer — because she knows firsthand how isolating and overwhelming the journey can be.

With a background in higher education and nonprofit leadership, Laura blends her experience as a researcher, educator, and patient advocate to create a podcast that is both heartfelt and evidence-based. She has spoken at national conferences, been featured on WBZ and the Museum of Science Boston, and continues to lead groundbreaking initiatives to expand access to cancer education and support.
Through the podcast, Laura holds space for grief, resilience, and growth. She asks the tough questions, dives into the science, and always centers the lived experience of her guests and community.
When she’s not recording new episodes, Laura is hosting virtual support groups, leading retreats, writing, speaking, and dreaming big about a world where no one faces breast cancer alone.
